Junko Kohro-Kawata, M.D.,Ph.D
Dr. Junko Kohro-Kawata comes to Shimonoseki,
after eight years of studying full-scope Rheumatology and Immunology at University of Washington, and Pacific Northwest Research Institute in Seattle. She received her M.D. and Ph.D., degrees at Yamaguchi University in Japan and also passed the medical board exam in U.S.
She charged of Specialty Outpatient Department of the Yamaguchi-University hospital, Internal Medicine at the youngest at the time. Her goal is to provide individual care for personal, not just as a Rheumatologist, but as a independent, and professional internist and developing close relationships with her patients and caring for women though their life span.
She and her husband, Yasunobu, Cardiologist, Nephrologist and independent researcher in genetic science at the Shimonoseki Toyoura Hospital, have two children. When not at clinic, Kawata’s interests include going to cinema, swimming, and going abroad to see another world.
She is the recent representative of female Rheumatologist meeting in Chugoku-Shikoku area and teaches internal medicine at nursing school at Shimonoseki.
